Al Qantara Institute is the private firm that settles international families in France. One senior interlocutor orchestrates residency, home, schools, wealth and cultural integration, with teams in Paris and Dubai. We are international in outlook, institutional in standard, family in spirit.
In Arabic, al qantara (القنطرة) is the old stone arch. We chose the name because it describes the work: carrying a family from its home country to France, and staying steady until the crossing is complete.
Families who move to France are usually handed a list of vendors: a visa agency here, a property broker there, a school consultant somewhere else, and no one responsible for the whole. We built the firm we would have wanted to find: a private office that runs your French chapter with one calendar, one standard of care and a senior advisor answerable to your family.
We began four years ago by helping families from Saudi Arabia and the Emirates settle in France, and have since grown into the firm that families from many countries call when France becomes a family project. Our teams live and work in Paris and Dubai, and welcome families from around the world.
We work with families from many countries, and know how to translate not only words but expectations, etiquette and codes, wherever a family begins.
Our founders are alumni of HEC Paris, École Polytechnique, Sorbonne and Dauphine-PSL. We bring the rigour of those institutions to every file, every calendar, every engagement.
We do not chase one-off transactions. An engagement begins with a private consultation and continues through your family's first 12 months in France; most of the families we serve stay in touch well beyond.
We take on a limited number of families each year, about fifteen. We do not name clients or build case studies on your family's story. What we learn about you stays with us.
